Most Doctors Plan to Continue with Telemedicine Post-Pandemic

The use of telemedicine saw a dramatic spike during the pandemic, with a 6-fold increase in utilization. This trend is expected to continue as 80% of doctors plan to continue to use it even as pandemic restrictions end.

The most common barrier to telemedicine use, one reported by 71% of doctors, was the difficulties their patients encountered in using the technology.

This highlights the need to couple telemedicine with patient-friendly technology tools to make it easier for patients to access care.
